  1. I did! 🙂 I still have to read your novels too. Just swamped. But I will, sooner or later. Thank you!

  2. This short will only take about 15-20 minutes to read. Enjoy it at your next break! 😉

  3. Thank you! Before I forget to mention this, I appreciate the last sentence of the story being in the present tense. Creates present, so to speak, possibilities. Magic seems to be on the rise.

The story is a treat, a gift. I enjoy all the folkloric parts and the conversations between Samuel and Siranela. We have forests here, sadly not so much old-growth. But I shall appreciate them in a new way, now, while I’m looking and listening for dryads.

Thank you! again. Stay safe and well.

  4. Very nice. Probably the best compliment I can offer is that I wanted it to go on. The possibilities for expansion are all there. I wanted to know all the characters better, including Starburst.

  5. So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! You’ll enjoy my novel “The Cardinal” if you like that genre. Would you be willing to write such a review on Smashwords? It would help prospective readers get a sense of what others think about it.

  6. I may stretch it into a novella; I agree, I wanted to write more, but it’s a good discipline for me to write short stories… my mind automatically goes down complex plotlines and character developments, but as you know, a good novel can take several years. I’m working on a science fiction novel at the moment, so a longer Merging will need to wait.

  7. Entrancing! I enjoyed The Merging very much. Thank you for sharing it.

  8. Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
