What on the surface just looks like a man going through mid-life crisis in a pink tutu turns out to be a heart-warming and inspirational story that will make you smile every time you see a pink tutu from now on. Just click on the photo below to hear the story of a man’s love for his wife and the lengths he’s gone to, to bring a smile to her face in the midst of the trials of cancer, and where it’s gone from that simple desire.
First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a
quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted
simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or hints? Thanks!
Thank you! Be sure to “follow” so you won’t miss a thing. 😉 To focus I have a few things that I make sure are “in place” before I begin:
1) Find out when your peak performance hours in the day are, and make sure you can write during that time.
2) Clear your writing area of distractions – a clean desk or area to write is helpful in keeping focused.
3) Write something every day! Get in the habit of writing. Before you go to bed the night before, make a list of what you want to write about – keep it short and precise – so that you know where to pick up the next time you sit down to write. Also, set yourself a word-limit to write each day.
4) Get comfortable; make yourself a drink (I go with a hot tea, which keeps me in place long enough to focus), and settle in for a set time.
I hope that helps!
